CV & Bio
Hi, I’m Fabio Brunazzi, a social psychologist originally from Italy and yacht captain with over 15 years of experience in ocean navigation.
I specialized in group dynamics and change management at Ariele and I was staff of the School of Ariele following a Master Degree in Work and Organizational Psychology from Università Milano-Bicocca. As an organizational psychologist, I worked in HR consulting and training for industrial and commercial firms in Italy.
In 2009 I left Italy to run a sailing business in Los Roques, Venezuela. After this experience I made sailing my career crewing and skippering sailing and motor yachts from 30ft to 140ft LOA in the Caribbean, North America and South China Sea.
In 2013 I bought Tranquility, my own sailing vessel which I completely refitted and upgraded for ocean sailing. Aboard Tranquility I sailed on my own terms to many beautiful places, doublehanded and singlehanded.
In 2016, I started Psychologyofsailing.com, and started my way back to work in psychological consulting and keynote speaking, alongside my passion for Sailing. Past and present clients include Ferrero, Norauto, ST Microelectronics, Kering. I engage with Social Dreaming and ran a popular online series of Social Dreaming Events during the pandemic.
Since 2022 I work with Eutelmed as psychosocial risk assessor and cover shifts on the 24/7 Psychological Help line.
I have a big love for mountains, I’m an omnivore reader, a great cook and a competent but undersized basketball player.
