In this matrix, many of the dreams reflected about our human behaviours and those of the virus Covid19. i.e. The virus, like us humans, need to kill, reproduce and socialise to survive.
Many of the associations related to fear, guilt for survival and hope for a better future.
D1: Dreamer’s daughter visiting her with two cats. One of them was a small kitten. Dreamer was happy to see her and wanted to hug her. In the dream she felt she could physically touch her but also felt like it was inappropriate.
D2: Dreamer is near a tube station in Copa Cabana, outside there is a bar and the owner is the husband of an old friend who leaves in Europe. Dreamer surprised to see him, has a “déjeuner” and talks about the past. Dreamer them moves into to a crowded tube station. The tube’s cars were like Roller Coasters’ cars. Dreamer not wearing a mask and worries to be contaminated. Also realises that she wasn’t wearing the mask when talking to her friend.
D3: Dreamer is with a friend in Milan. Left the train station and goes in a restaurant which is the same as the one he knows from Georgia. It was just opening for the day, switching coffee machines on etc. It wasn’t crowded but as the restaurant started to be fuller, it turned into a soccer match pitch. Some Brazilians were there. Dreamer was player and got to score. It felt strange.
D4: Dreamer was with his wife and a young boy. The young boy says to dreamer “let’s go to see a match at a stadium. Dreamer decides to leave his wife to go to the match. Dreamer is worried because people were not wearing any masks in large crowds. Then dreamer prefers to return to his wife.
A1: Association with D1. Remembering an association from another Matrix. The person was speaking Danish and said: Skin hunger.
A2: Association with D1, D2, D3. Dream rooms and dreamers are growing up with Family. Worried to be contaminated. Association with opening
A3: the wish to love other people in open space. We are like heroes walking around without fear of contamination.
D5: Dreamer was protagonist and the object. He could see himself from the outside hanging upside down from a tree by his foot. Guts were out and exposed with a feeling that his sins would be forgotten. It wasn’t a bad feeling, it was a relief. The tree was beautiful, tall stretching from sky to the ground. He was upside down but felt comfortable.
A4: Association to D4 and D3. Had a conversation about football leagues. People support local teams but teams are made of international players.
A5: the football teams made of international players makes me think of champions.
A6: Association with D5 with history of Hanging in Georgia.
A7: Association with a dream about a conference with people from international background including people from south America. Comparative discussions going on about kind of racism in different countries. The presenter was from Brazil who talked about “Bandeirantes” who were slave catchers. Not different from nowadays as there is so much racism against black people in Brazil. Then I realised the presenter was a black female and felt very self-conscious.
A8: Association with A7. the Bandeirantes word was used for people looking for gold and precious stones inland. It raises the association of searching for precious parts within ourselves as in a group.
A9: News said that there might be a vaccine by September 2020. Should our breath be held and should not be too optimistic about it?
A10: Association with the culture of slaves in south America who managed to escape and hide in the jungle to create communities. Association with going in the deep part and escape slavery.
A11: In Columbia some towns were populated by those slaves. A few years ago, I was given a book about it.
A12: What comes in my mind is the freedom to hide.
D6: Dreamer finds himself in a small train station and realises it is not the present. There is a strange train, very old. I enter a big room and find a square with un underground station which was recent. Dreamer relieved he is in the present.
A13: Underground stations used as shelter during the war.
A14: Escape from the south to the north.
A15: Train associations, books, several tales about ghost trains.
A16: Train associations with concentration camps.
D7: Transition from life into death. Walking along a path by a temple lead by a spiritual leader. Dreamer follows crowd with big festival. Big ritual, people very closed from each other, 2 ostriches come up and are very intelligent and observing. Then dreamer can see them urinating on top of the people and could see them. Dreamer had a big square butcher knife and could protect himself but urine went onto the other people. When they were wet, the facilitator said everyone wet was ready to join the festival and asks dreamer to serve Hot Chocolate to everyone. As the dreamer lives transformation from iguanas back to humans and vice versa.
A17: Discussion between Trump and the whole country about reopening the churches and fear of contagion.
A18: Taj Mahal. Ostriches makes me think of bird flue. Ostriches burry their heads in the sand
D8: Dreamer is in his boat and opening doors. It is uncomfortable and there is a lot of little rooms then becomes a big apartment, with several floors and a view onto a lagoon. Dreamer then meets friends leave the place to go to a bus stop. See a dolphin trapped with inflatable balls. then it becomes 2 German swimmers with a cap on and a baby, swimming back to go and wait for a bus at a different bus stop.
A19: Association with D8. Cross species creation of killer viruses will continue and can be even more lethal because of the interface between human and other species. Everyone hope that we will get back to normal.
A20: Association with D8 – fear. Dolphins are the image of freedom, travelling all over. But in the dream, they are captured.
A21: I have a real feeling. I am leaving with European image that Death is walking behind me with a sigh waiting to kill me with the virus. In Europe it is keeping us haunted.
Reflection:
Dreams seem to be so much about hope. Hope is interrupted by infections. We kill members of different species and yet we think that we are immune from death – it is illogical.
Hypothesis: the skeleton with the scythe is harvesting the population of the world, trying to eliminate all those that are aged so they don’t go on living – as if they are a weight for society.
The situation in Europe is more contained than in some other parts of the world, such as Brazil. It is a call for hope. We survived. People were more paranoid and more afraid of each other wearing full protective gear and masks in shops for instance. One could say people are relieved but also more afraid. Has it become part of us?
Some people, like people who wrote the Tibetan book of Death, prepare themselves to die and assist people dying. We should get ready to die as it could happen any time. Hypothesis: as it resonates in the matrix, maybe humanity is facing the fact that we are not ready to face death. There may also be more panic than real danger.
Our Human omnipotence is going down, we were very certain that we had achieved a level of development, that we forgot we are human beings and that our fate is to death. This is reality. We will enjoy more the possibility of leaving.
Some scientists explain that the virus is doing what us human do to survive. It kills. In this way we could think that the virus is only “being”, like we do.
There is guilt about survival. Could it be survival guilt? We have survived, we are alive, we are not dead.
We fantasise about the virus, we don’t know everything about it.
The Spanish flue decimated 1/5 of the population of the world. There is not such thing as a natural disaster. Every single disaster we can associate with human manipulation. People are kept alive in a way which is not natural. We must bear the consequences.
All the masks that we are using will contaminate the world even more. Millions and millions of masks.
Infantile wish to be like a super heroe who could move around without being contaminated. This is very important as if we can’t survive without each other, we will use our ability to build a better word for us. Fear of political consequences. Hope but without optimism.
This is our future we have to keep trying.
